USA 2023

In 2023, ieRetail hosted a group of New World Store owners on an 11-day tour to San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, New York and Philadelphia.

Highlights of this supermarket-centric tour included Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go, Walmart robotics trials, New Seasons Market, Whole Foods Market flagship store, Trader Joe’s and Sprouts Famers Market among many more. 

South Africa 2024

In 2024, ieRetail hosted a group of New World Owners on an 8-day tour to Capetown and Johannesburg.

Highlights of this supermarket-centric tour included Spar (including SuperSpar, KwikSpar and distribution centre), Checkers (including Checkers Hyper and Checkers Rush), Pick n Pay and Food Lovers Market.
